Global Media Outreach Launches GodLife.com and Facebook for Spanish

Campbell, CA – June 18, 2013

Global Media Outreach (GMO), a leading Internet evangelism and discipleship ministry (www.globalmediaoutreach.com), announced the expansion of their discipleship website, GodLife.com, for Spanish language users (DiosyVida.com) and a Spanish Facebook page for that site called GodLife: Dios Te Ama.

GodLife is a website designed to be a place where new believers can learn about Jesus, grow in their faith, study Scripture and connect with online missionaries. New and recommitting Christians will find study guides and videos in Spanish helping to guide them in their faith.

The Facebook page provides daily prayer, encouragement and connection in Spanish. Niki Moreno, GMO’s Global Representative for Spanish said, “The main reason for the page is to reach more Spanish speaking people for Christ and build believers in their faith.”

The response has been phenomenal. In less than 3 months, with no advertising, the engagement rate has been over 50%. “We are praying that by the end of the year, we will see the page grow organically to 100,000 likes,” says Moreno.

“We’re looking forward to integrating the Facebook page with GMO’s secure response system,” said GMO’s Chief Marketing Officer, Michelle Diedrich. “Spanish Online Missionaries will be able to respond to seekers immediately. We hope to launch GodLife websites and Facebook pages in other languages in the future.”

People are getting help and learning about Jesus through this page. A woman having problems with alcohol in Mexico wrote, “I need to stop drinking. I try to, but I haven’t been able to stop.” She received support and prayer almost immediately.

GMO partners with more than 175 churches and strategic Christian organizations such as Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru), American Bible Society, Joni and Friends, YouVersion, International Students, Inc., Youth With A Mission, CAM, Luis Palau, Harvest: Greg Laurie, and others.

Global Media Outreach Introduces Facebook Response

Campbell, CA – June 1, 2013

Global Media Outreach (GMO), a leading Internet evangelism and discipleship ministry (www.globalmediaoutreach.com), today announced the launch of the ministry’s Facebook response program.

“GMO’s GodLife Facebook community (facebook.com/GodLifePage) has grown to more than 1.5 million ‘likes’, generating thousands of messages from seekers and believers asking for prayer, help and guidance,” said Walt Wilson, Founder and Chairman of Global Media Outreach. “By developing this program, Facebook users are assured of the same privacy they receive when connecting with our online missionaries through desktop or mobile websites.”

“The challenge for the ministry was how to respond to people through social media while integrating with our current response systems to ensure we could get the messages to trained online missionaries for help, as well as track what’s happening through the Facebook channel and still maintain security,” said Michelle Diedrich, Chief Marketing Officer. “As the world moves more and more to social media and mobile for communication, we want to make sure we can respond to any seeker who needs help. This new tool provides one more channel to make those direct connections with online missionaries.”

Specially trained online missionaries will be responding to the incoming messages using GMO’s Response System, sharing the gospel with seekers and praying for the Facebook users who come to us through the GodLife Facebook page.

GMO has seen enormous growth in the number of people reached with the gospel. At less than 10 cents per gospel presentation, 195,305,507 visitors came to GMO’s 150 web and mobile sites in 2012, with 26,169,717 indicating their decision for Jesus Christ.
